Here's where it all began! These 19 tracks are Buckethead's first multi-track recordings. He created them in 1988, and already it's all there -- the unparalleled technique, the achingly beautiful solos, incredible shredding, wry twists and turns, and a musical imagination unlike any other. Includes early versions of fan faves "Scraps" and "Hog Bitch Stomp," some killer classical, and other surprises.

Buckethead drew the CD's cover art. The booklet reproduces the handwritten track listing from the original tapes, as well as the first Buckethead artist bio. The sound has been digitally restored by Ken Hood.

Young Buckethead

Recorded during the same time as the Young Buckethead DVDs, Acoustic Shards showcases Buckethead alone on acoustic guitar. Measure for measure, this CD has some of the most exhilarating and innovative guitar music on record.

The music was recorded in real time, without overdubs or effects devices - just Buckethead in a living room, playing a borrowed guitar. Much of it was composed on the spot. The CD contains 15 original tracks, including the earliest-known version of fan faves "For Mom" and "Who Me?"

Buckethead himself drew all the artwork for the cover and disc, as well as for a limited-edition 11x17 promo poster.
